The painting is probably from 1869 and shows mother / son - Marcus Fritz (1868 - 1942), who himself became a painter and architect. Pupil of i.a. PS Krøyer.

Andreas Fritz was a student of Emmerik Høegh-Guldberg, Wilhelm Marstrand, Christian Købke and JV Gertner.
