Drop-shaped carafe from Holmegaard Glasværk with ribbon decor.
Ribbon decor sanding became popular up through the 1880s, after a large Swedish hotel ordered a full service of ribbon decor. Both Holmegaard and Kastrup glassworks take on this decoration. Kastrup's decanters do not have ribbon sanding on the neck and on the stopper, as Holmegaard's models have.
