Danish Golden Age artist (19th century): Johan Thomas Lundbye with full beard and drawing pad and a monk in a garden at the Convento di Santa Marie ad Nives de Polozzola. Lead on paper. Signed: Palazzuola d. 9. Sep. 1845. 27 x 42 cm. In black frame 41 x 53 cm.
J. Th. Lundbye stayed in Rome during this period in 1845, and lived with the painter Thorald Læssøe in Jerichau's studio, from which Ludbye moved out on October 21.
Palozzoli is located on Lake Albana just south of Rome.
