Zoé Talon du Cayla was the mistress of Louis the 18th of France.
She lived from 1785-1852 and was titled Comtesse of Cayla.
In the portrait, she is depicted as Demeter, the Greek goddess of grain and the protector of agriculture. The back has her name.
The picture is painted on bone, has an old drying crack and is set in a patinated brass frame.
The glass is the original curved that has some marks in the glass itself.
