Height 16.5 cm.To remove the gray tone glass could get, manganese would be added to the glass. This helped to clean the mass and give the glass a whiter color. At times the glass mass took too much color and then got a purple or pink color, like thise glasses.
Derby have been produced on almost all Danish glassworks from the 1890s until the 1950s. Holmegaard begins production, after Belgian model in 1890, Fyens and Kastrup Glasværk begin their production around 1910.
The glass becomes very popular and may well be called Denmark's national glass.
The set is in perfect condition and without flaws.
