Teak / oak coffee table, approx. 1960. Made by Erling Christensen, Aarhus. Denmark. With 4 legs, of which one can be folded out. Round plate that can be folded into a demi lune shape. H .: 62 cm. Dia. plate 119 cm.

Erling Christensen was both a carpenter and a carver. He was best known as a carver and had a workshop in Sjællandsgade and later in Åbyhøj. He was Aarhus' last major carver.
The table is made for friends who were also affiliated with the Catholic-Apostolic Church in Aarhus.
