Painting of King Frederik the 5th (1723-1766), with long wig and armor with a cloth of ermine over it. In gold frame. The painting is painted on canvas and later mounted on board.Without frame: 38 x 29.5 cm.
With frame: 51.5 x 44 cm.
Frederik the 5th was king of Denmark and Norway from 1746, son of Christian the 6th and Sophie Magdalene of Brandenburg-Kulmbach. He was married in 1743 to Louise of England and the year after her death in 1751 to Juliane Marie of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel. Together with Louise, he had Christian the 7th.
