D. 1930, Fakse Ladeplads, Denmark
Educated in theology and art history, as well as education from the Academy of Fine Arts 1873-79. Associated with The Free Exhibition, which he also helped to found in 1891. Engelsted is known for his genre pictures in a realistic style.
