Jugend glass confectionery bowl from the National Exhibition in Aarhus 1909, Denmark. Ruby red glass with gilding and enamel paint. On the sides text in gold: The National Exhibition in Aarhus 1909 and Globus Copenhagen Aarhus. H.: 9.5 cm. Dia.: 13.5 cm.
The bowl was probably made in Denmark. Which glasswork is currently not known! Perfect condition!
Really rare piece from the National Exhibition, where the Chocolate and Confectionery Factory was represented!
Globus is equal to the United Chocolate and Confectionery Factories in Copenhagen and Aarhus. In Aarhus, the factory was located on the corner of Kystvejen/Nørreport. The factory existed until approx. 1950. In 1909, the company received the highest distinction - silver medal - at the National Exhibition.
