Set of 6 dining chairs, known as the Folkestolen, model J39, designed by Børge Mogensen for FDB Møbler in the 1950s. The chairs have teak backrests and the rest of the frame in oak, which provides a beautiful contrast between the two types of wood. The J39 chair, also called the Folkestolen, was designed with a focus on simplicity and durability.

Børge Mogensen was a Danish furniture designer, known for his work with functional and accessible design. He wanted to create furniture that could be used by everyone and therefore designed the Folkestolen as a robust and comfortable chair that could be used both in the home and in public spaces. FDB Møbler produced the chair as part of their mission to bring good Danish design to the general public.
