Joergen Mogensen (1927-2004) Danish ceramist who worked for Royal Copenhagen and later from his own workshop, together with his wife Ursula Printz Mogensen. JM was educated at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen. At Royal Copenhagen from 1949 - 1965, where he worked with great names such as Axel Salto and Nils Thorsson. Mogensen is particularly known for his stylized animal motifs and birds in ceramic works, which were often glazed with warm earthy colors and matte surfaces.
