Hand-woven rug in pure wool featuring a geometric zigzag pattern in black and white tones, divided by red stripes. A classic example of Swedish textile art from the Märta Måås-Fjetterström workshop, executed under the direction of Barbro Nilsson.
Some wear and discolouration, would benefit from professional cleaning.

Bio:
Märta Måås-Fjetterström founded her workshop in Båstad in 1919, establishing a new standard in Swedish textile art. After her death, Barbro Nilsson continued and developed the workshop’s distinctive style of patterns and colour compositions. MMF rugs are today internationally recognised collector’s pieces represented in museums worldwide.
