Bio:
Gunnar Nylund was one of Sweden’s most influential ceramic artists and designers of the 20th century. He joined Rörstrand in 1931 and became its artistic director in the 1930s. Renowned for his matte glazes, clean lines, and elegant sculptural forms, Nylund helped define Swedish modernist ceramics and bridge the shift from 1930s functionalism to the organic mid-century style.
