Bio:
The Art Nouveau period around 1900 was characterised by a strong focus on natural forms, with flowing lines, asymmetry, and stylised plant and insect motifs. Jardinières and planters were popular interior objects in bourgeois homes of the time and were commonly used both decoratively and functionally in window settings and winter gardens.
