Bio:
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) was a Swedish ceramic artist and designer who worked for many years at Upsala Ekeby. She is noted for decorative, softly sculptural forms combined with graphic patterns and expressive glazes, reflecting Scandinavian modernism of the mid-20th century. Upsala Ekeby was among Sweden’s leading ceramic producers of the period, creating both functional wares and artistic ceramics that are today highly regarded by collectors.
