Kjell Blomberg for Gullaskruf, pitcher.Slender hourglass-shaped pitcher in mouth-blown glass with a gently waisted neck and subtle pouring lip. Executed in transparent blue with a darker base section, characteristic of Swedish glass design of the 1960s.

Bio:
Kjell Blomberg (1931–1989) was a Swedish ceramicist and glass artist educated at Konstfack in Stockholm. During his career he worked for companies including Upsala-Ekeby, Gabriel Keramik and Gullaskruf Glasbruk, developing a distinctive streamlined design language defined by soft organic contours. In the 1960s he contributed significantly to the renewal of Swedish art glass through elegant and functional objects. His works are represented in collections such as the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and are regarded today as important contributions to Scandinavian modernism.
