Arne Bang was a Danish ceramicist renowned for his hand-thrown stoneware works characterised by organic forms and deep, often dark glazes. He worked with high technical precision and developed a distinctive style in which form and glaze are closely integrated. His works are considered among the most important contributions to Danish studio ceramics in the 20th century.
