Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) was one of Finland’s most significant designers and sculptors, internationally acclaimed for his work in glass, porcelain, silver, and industrial design. For Rosenthal Studio-Line, he created refined porcelain series that remain important examples of modern Nordic design.
