Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) was one of Finland’s most significant designers and sculptors, internationally acclaimed for his work in glass, porcelain, silver, and industrial design. His style united nature’s organic lines with functionalist simplicity and sculptural elegance. For Rosenthal Studio-Line, he created refined porcelain designs that remain important works within modern Nordic design.
