Bio:
Lars Bertle, born in Helsingborg in 1925, was a Swedish visual artist whose work included still lifes, figurative subjects and particularly landscapes. His works are often characterised by a free, colouristic and modernist visual language, reducing the landscape to atmospheric fields and nuanced transitions of colour. Bertle is represented in several Swedish public collections, including museums in Helsingborg, Gothenburg, Malmö and Landskrona, as well as the Swedish Arts Council.
