Set of six pieces by Aluminia from the “Confetti” series, comprising a small bowl, a small vase and four butter pads. Made in dark-glazed faience with a light interior glaze and contrasting light rims.

Origin: Denmark.
Material: Faience.
Dimensions: Bowl H. 6 cm, D. 11 cm. Vase H. 5 cm, D. 6 cm. Butter pads D. 10 cm.
Period: Mid-20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.
Marking: Marked Aluminia.

Bio:
Aluminia was founded in Copenhagen in 1863 and developed into one of Denmark’s significant manufacturers of faience. The factory was taken over by Philip Schou in 1882, the same year he also acquired the Royal Copenhagen porcelain factory. Aluminia is particularly known for its decorative and functional faience production from the first half and middle of the 20th century.
