Lalique, Épis vase.

Elegant vase in clear moulded glass with a flared body and relief decoration of stylised ears of wheat. The Épis model was created in 1931 and is signed Lalique France underneath the base.

Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
René Lalique (1860–1945) was a French jewellery and glass designer and a leading figure in Art Nouveau and Art Deco. He founded the Lalique company and became particularly renowned for technically refined glassworks featuring motifs drawn from nature. The Épis model, whose name refers to ears of wheat, was created in 1931 and is recorded as model no. 1077.
