Bio:
Erik Magnussen (1940–2014) was a Danish designer who graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Copenhagen in 1960. After graduating, he worked for Bing & Grøndahl, where he designed functional porcelain characterised by simple forms and practical use. Magnussen received the Lunning Prize in 1967 and later gained international recognition for his functional designs in materials including porcelain, steel and plastic.
