Very large unique ceramic bowl with a broad organic form raised on a tall foot, finished with a light, subtly textured glaze and a blue glazed detail to the interior.

Bio:
Gudrun Østergaard (b. 1949) is a Danish ceramicist known for unique pieces and studio ceramics. She operated her own workshop in Copenhagen from 1973 to 2019 and worked for a period from a ceramics workshop in Ryesgade. Her ceramic works are characterised by individual forms, distinctive surfaces and an experimental approach to glazes.
