The composition is built from organic and geometric forms in orange, red, green, pink and darker tones set against a warm yellow background. Overlapping fields of colour and bold brushwork create a lively, rhythmic composition with a distinct modernist character. Signed. Provenance: artists studio.

Bio:
Lars Bertil Bertle (1925–2026) was a Swedish modernist painter from Helsingborg. Largely self-taught, he did not devote himself to painting full-time until the late 1960s. His work is distinguished by vivid colour and an expressive approach, ranging from southern Swedish landscapes, still lifes and figures to strongly abstracted compositions. Bertle is represented in the collection of Helsingborg Museum, which includes, among other works, an abstract oil painting from his Aniara series.
