Bio:
Kaj Franck (1911–1989) was a Finnish designer and a central figure in modern Finnish design. Working in both glass and ceramics, he began his association with Iittala in the 1940s. Franck consistently pursued simple basic forms and carefully considered proportions while exploring the inherent qualities of glass. His work achieved considerable international recognition and had a lasting influence on Finnish design.
