Bio:
Grethe Meyer (1918–2008) was a Danish architect and designer, born in Svendborg and graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in 1947. She established her own studio in 1960 and focused on function, simplicity and the efficient use of space. Blue Line was introduced by Royal Copenhagen in 1965 and became one of her best-known designs. She also designed the Hvidpot and Ildpot tableware series and the Copenhagen cutlery.
