Bio:
Arabia was founded in 1873 in Helsinki as a subsidiary of the Swedish porcelain manufacturer Rörstrand and grew into one of the largest producers of ceramics and porcelain in the Nordic countries. The factory’s art department, led from 1932 by Kurt Ekholm, gave room to artists who created unique and hand-painted works. Today Arabia is part of the Fiskars Group.
